Table Gets ReStyled

I bought these two tables for $12.50 each I really liked the style and I could see the potential. So I threw them in my Honda Accord and drove away. Isn't it amazing what you can fit in a car when you become completely possessed by a piece of furniture? I'm willing to bet some of you have had the passing thought to leave your child behind in order to get the dresser in the car :) just kidding!  I used Sherwin Williams Still Water for the base coat and then I used Minwax Dark Walnut stain over the blue and I stripped the top back to it's natural wood and stained, poly and then waxed the entire table and there you have it.

I love the look of the wood and having some of it painted and just a titch of distressing.
Until the next time

  1. What a transformation! Love how you mix the natural wood with paint, turned out GREAT!

  2. love it. do you need to sand out the original color of the table before you apply primer? why need primer? is it just a while coating? I don't have much experience in painting, so you may think my question is silly or stupid. hehe...

  3. A great save and it looks so nice.

  4. I love the after! I also like the wood top and painted bottom...
