She's So Pretty

After much "fuss and muss" she is ready for her big reveal! First the BEFORE and then the AFTER. I will then take you step by step.




I used Valspar satin black paint and I then thought oh I can do better than this. I  then brushed on Annie Sloan's Graphite Chalk Paint and that is when the dresser began to come to life. To add interest I decided to add three handles that were different from the originals just to jazz it up. The next day I applied furniture wax  and distressed it quite a bit and then added silver Rub n Buf. Read my previous post here about the product. I'm very pleased with the results :) Until the next time...........

  7. Wow! That looks like a different dresser. I love the silvery/gray color and the different drawer pulls. Guess what? I got home from vacay today and found a beautiful pillow waiting on my doorstep. How I love to get packages in the a mail. You are such a good sewer...multitalented! Thanks again!

  10. So happy to see this post! I tried painting a table from Salvation Army for my son's new house in Graphite. It was great until I tried putting the AS dark wax on it. I think I have to start over. Thanks for the tip on the Rub n Buf - I can't wait to try it
