Mission Accomplished

When I decided to take an upholstery classes I never gave much thought to the satisfaction and the camaraderie that would follow. I suppose spending six weeks and four hours a week with a small group of people a certain bond would take hold. We have learned, laughed, listened and even develop a little muscle tone. Did you really think taking out a GAZILLION staples would be easy? I have a few more photos to show you from this weeks class. If you have been considering taking an upholstery class I encourage you to do so. In a few short weeks I've completed a chair, sewn two bolster pillows, recovered two small benches and next week I will complete my final project. It's kind of sad the class is ending, but I know where Frank lives, I will be going back. Did I mention he has written a book?!

This chair was completed by someone in the Wednesday class.

Kate is rocking this chair! Love this fabric

Rasa has completed her chair it looks like something out of the Jetsons doesn't it? Pretty snazzy :)
I have photos of my benches but I want to restyle the wood before I have my big reveal. My final project will be this chair that I picked up at an estate sale boy does she need some work. She looks traditional and tired but I guarantee you next week she will be modern and marvelous!

This has been a really long week, I have had a terrible head cold such a drag. I'm hoping to be back 100% by the weekend.

  9. I commend you. Upholstery has always appeared to be difficult to me, I can't wait to see what you've covered up for us and what you're planning to covering...perhaps you'll give be the determination to do it. The college over here offers upholstery classes each year for personal development. I'll let your blog be my deciding factor (smile).
