1 Shade of Gray

Hello Readers,
I'm sure some of you have read or heard about the book called
50 Shades of Grey........
so this is my "play on words"
I know it's  a stretch
but it got your attention didn't it?

anyhow my friend Helen has a table........lately I've been hearing those words a lot
"I have this table can you do something with it" and so I did.
What color do you think I used?

this sad little table needs some "spw"
 sanding - paint - wax

Sadie the inspector  "is that Annie Sloan's Dark Wax I smell"

why yes it is Sadie good decision she barked,
I'm just cracking myself up!

Annie Sloan's dark wax worked out beautifully this is the second time I have used it for a tabletop, I always use polycrylic but I want to step outside the box and try other products

I'm delivering the table to Helen later today I'm sure she will be pleased :) the table will look great in her reading nook.

  7. Fabulous transformation. I love that you stained the bottom braces rather than paint. Such a great detail.

  15. Haha! You just made me and my 14-year-old son laugh! I called him over to check out Sadie's pic at first because she's usually lounging so I've never seen her on all fours ...

And then we started reading and laughing and he said, "You bloggers are too funny ..."

    :)

Oh, and the table is not funny at all. It's fabulous!

    :)
