Chalkboard and Lime

Hello Readers,

Last week I posted that I want to spruce things up a bit with a splash of color. I have decided to use lime green as my accent color. This is a quick and easy project and I like the end result.

Thanks for stopping by, later this week I will share with you another spruce up and it involves this table.

Sprucing Up

Hello Readers,
I know it's been a spell since my last post, I have been enjoying Summer and simply relaxing. I must admit  I need to find my blogging groove. During the next few weeks I want to spend time sprucing up our home. I have been looking a many decorating images and I just need to pick one and get started.

Love the owl don't you?

love the stripe pillows and the cozy feeling

I found some great inspiration on the House Beautiful website, I love bold colors mixed with a little cozy.

Have you gotten the decorating bug lately?

Apple Cake

Hello Readers,

How are you? I hope you are enjoying Summer it's going by so quickly isn't it? Some bloggers are posting Fall projects already and I just cringe at the thought of Fall and Winter arriving shortly.
Today I baked a great cake and it's so delicious. I like it because it low-fat and easy to bake, perhaps you've seen it out in cyberspace.

two ingredients angel food cake mix and the pie filling of your choice

combine in a bowl

stir until mixed

pour into an ungreased pan

bake for 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees

let cool and slice look at those yummy apple slices

Top of with fat free Reddi whip and enjoy!
I have baked this cake  using blueberry pie filling and it is also very good. If you are trying to cut calories give this recipe a try. It's just two ingredients!

Thanks for stopping by I'll see you next time at
